"Bringing it back to go forward"

1. What is the ethos behind your label?
The ethos behind the label is not to recreate the past but to fuse certain elements and vibes from the early era of Jungle and Jungle Tekno that were soon lost, now with the production and sounds of today we are stamping a new identity. We strongly believe there's a way to bridge the gap between electronic music as a whole, and having a sound that has no BPM boundaries is one Modular and Outrageway that can help this happen.

2. What Dj's are supporting the music on your label?
Tango and Ratty, Pilgrim, Lennie De Ice, Randall, Ratpack, MJ Cole, Slipmatt, Remarc, Dr S Gachet, Phantasy, Heartless Crew, Robbie D, Kenny Ken, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Darren J, Secret Society, Maryanne Hobbs, Equinox, Double O, Paradox + many more!

3. What artists do you have signed and are there any you have your eye on for the future?
Outrage, Modular, K-Dan, Secret Society

4. Will you be releasing vinyl as well as mp3's?
Yes

5. Give us three words that sum up the style of the music on the label.
J.....Tek....Hoooooooooooo

6. What other labels and artists are you feeling at the moment and why?
Secret Society (The Lads), Madcap (Churning them out), AST (Fresh). K-Dan ( The Apprentice) These guys are experimenting and have no fear in trying different things. We are also feeling Tango & Ratty, they are also making some fresh new cuts and have been a big influence over the years.

7. How often will you be releasing music through dto?
Every 8 weeks

8. Does the label host any radio shows?
www.pyroradio.com Bi Monthyl. Thurs 9th April, Thurs 4th June, Thurs 30th Jul and so on.

9. Why did you decide to start a record label? and do you think there are too many labels out there at the moment with the whole online mp3 sales thing?
The market is saturated at the moment and to be honest there is loads of weak music out there, however we believe what dto4music is doing is a positive thing only having choice labels and quality control unlike most other mp3 sites that sell any old thing.
We set up the label because we wanted to have an outlet to be able to experiment with different tempos and sounds, to have freedom to do what we want. We have not followed anyone, we have taken influence from the past, but we did have the balls to slow things down and now a lot of people are following suit and getting involved.

10. What is your forthcoming release schedule?
For the Massive/Process one - K-Dan OUT NOW
Round Up - Modular (Forthcoming)
Stop - Outrage (Forthcoming)
Armshouse - Outrage (Forthcoming)
J-Tek House - Outrage (Forthcoming)

11. What are your thoughts on the J-Tek movement and where do you think it can go in the future?
Right now it is wide open and really exciting with loads of variety. Lots of new producers are making some quality music. The main thing is that we are not trying to follow any rules and to be as experimental and free as we want.

What is your current music top 5 ?
1- Tango & Ratty - Deadly Melody
